WATCH: Federer bid an emotional farewell to tennis at the conclusion of the 2022 Laver Cup, playing his final match alongside Nadal in doubles.

Roger Federer's retirement hasn't made his fellow Big Four colleagues consider hanging up their own racquets.

The 41-year-old Federer is older than 36-year-old Rafael Nadal and 35-year-old Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, but their careers have been inextricably tied, leading to questions about their own career plans going forward.

But the three all say they're going to keep playing on tour. A week ago, Nadal received the prestigious Real Camino award from the King of Spain, noting in his award speech that despite the accolade, he isn't done yet.

"I hope they don't think my career is finished, nothing like that," he said, having won two Grand Slams this season.

But following his Laver Cup appearance, Nadal also revealed that at various moments this season he had wondered if retirement could be imminent, and that his Roland Garros victory could be his final event.

I don't feel yet so old, to be honest. I still feel my body is serving me, is listening to me. That's the key I think when you get to 35-plus...I'm not playing as much as I played few years ago. I want to peak at the best tournaments, biggest tournaments in the world, which are Grand Slams and some of the biggest ATP events, playing for my country. Novak Djokovic

A successful procedure for his foot pain seems to have changed this, even though he has had other physical problems during the second half of the season. Nadal and his wife, Maria, are also expecting their first child next month.

Djokovic, also a Slam winner this season, has no current plans for retirement.

"I don't feel yet so old, to be honest. I still feel my body is serving me, is listening to me. That's the key I think when you get to 35-plus," he told press at Laver Cup, though adding that he has reduced his schedule. "I'm not playing as much as I played few years ago. I want to peak at the best tournaments, biggest tournaments in the world, which are Grand Slams and some of the biggest ATP events, playing for my country."

Murray almost retired in 2019 with hip problems, having won three Grand Slam titles.

Now back into to the Top 50 this season for the first time since having hip resurfacing surgery, he doesn't know when he will stop his career.

"I'm still playing competitive tennis and physically feeling good against top players," he said at Laver Cup.

Both Nadal and Djokovic still stand in the Top 10 in the rankings.
