James Blake’s lawyer has presented a proposal to the Bridgeport, Connecticut parks commission to build a $4 million, privately-funded facility at Veteran's Park, reports the Greenwich Times. Blake, who grew up in nearby Fairfield, has been considering options for his post pro-career life. The proposed facility in the financially strapped city would consist of seven indoor courts along with four platform tennis courts on seven acres.

Blake’s lawyer, Raymond Rizio, said that if plans are approved, the facility could be ready by September 2012. There are no indoor courts in Bridgeport. Other sites being explored by Blake include Fairfield, Trumbull, Conn., and Tampa, Fla., where the 31-year-old owns a home.
