Mega fans of one are often rabid fans of the other, and so it's splendid when the tennis and music worlds collide.

Justin Vernon, frontman for the indie soft-folk music outfit Bon Iver (akin to the French phrase bon hiver, meaning "good winter") has something of a Rafael Nadal fetish. The winner of Sunday's Grammy award for Best New Artist proceeded to chomp down on his trophy when he greeted reporters backstage. And looked a bit crazy in doing so.

A variation of that look is now his Twitter avatar, which formerly featured Rafa—and, most recently, a mysteriously mustachioed Rafa. We've sent a tweet out to Vernon as to why he's so smitten with Nadal's tradition, but he has yet to respond.

Meanwhile, check out this stellar video of one Janko Tipsarevic deejaying in Belgrade, Serbia (kudos to @Joekerey for the find):

DJ Tipsy played a blazing track from another big-time Grammy winner—Sunday's six-time champ Adele—and relished in the sound of her "Rolling in the Deep" remix. Says here the Serbian's got talent at the decks to match his thoughtful yet uber-fun personality. Got to love a guy who will get a Dostoevsky quote burned into his arm and rock out a set at the capital city's Magacin club.

As a footnote, the difficult-to-Google band Tennis released its sophomore album, Young & Old, on Valentine's Day and is touring North America behind the record as of today. See their video for new song "Origins" here. Recommended by this sometime music scribe, as is the band's previous single, "Marathon." (Not a John Isner tribute song.)

What's your favorite tennis-invoking music, or music-invoking tennis moment?
