There will be a Parliamentary hearing in Britain following reports of match-fixing in tennis, *The Telegraph* reports.
British Prime Minister David Cameron, a recreational tennis player and a big fan of the game, has reacted to the BBC investigation indicating that there has been repeated match-fixing on tour. According to the investigation, the match-fixing scandal involves 16 players who have been in the Top 50.
The PM’s spokesperson described Cameron as "deeply concerned," and he called for an independent investigation.
The newspaper said that the Culture Media and Sport Committee was planning to announce a hearing over the information obtained by the BBC, which includes confidential ATP and Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) documents, as well as interviews with well-placed sources.
The hearing is likely to call members of the London-based TIU, and could also seek testimony from ATP leadership.
