Carlos Alcaraz hit a major career milestone in Beijing on Sunday night, recording the 200th tour-level win of his career with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Tallon Griekspoor at the ATP 500 event.

The 21-year-old is the first man born in 2003 or later—or even 2002 or later—to hit that number, and just the third man born in 2000 or later to do it after Jannik Sinner and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

MEN BORN IN 2000s WITH 200+ CAREER WINS (tour-level):
247: Jannik Sinner [born in 2001]
213: Felix Auger-Aliassime [born in 2000]
200: Carlos Alcaraz [born in 2003]

And it’s probably going to be a while before anyone else joins the above list—the next-closest players are Lorenzo Musetti, Holger Rune and Sebastian Korda, who have 130, 130 and 125 career wins, respectively, as of the end of play in Beijing and Tokyo on Sunday.

Alcaraz hit 18 winners to just 13 unforced errors to beat Griekspoor in 56 minutes. He never faced a break point in eight service games.

By reaching 200 career wins at 21 years, 4 months and 24 days, Alcaraz is also tracking significantly ahead of two of the Big 3.

Novak Djokovic had 180 career wins at that age, eventually getting to 200 at 21 years and 9 months, and Roger Federer had 160 career wins at that age, hitting 200 at 21 years and 10 months.

However, Rafael Nadal had 247 career wins at that age—he recorded his 200th career win at 20 years and 10 months.

Alcaraz is outpacing all three in terms of Grand Slam titles, though, already having won four—meanwhile, at the same age, Nadal had three majors, Djokovic had one and Federer had none.

Back to Beijing, Alcaraz’s victory over Griekspoor was his 45th win of the year and puts him into his ninth quarterfinal of the year.

Up next for the world No. 3 will be former world No. 8 Karen Khachanov, who defeated Francisco Cerundolo in two tie-breaks earlier in the day, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (9), to improve to 7-0 in his career against the Argentine—including a 5-0 mark this year.

Alcaraz is 3-0 against Khachanov, and 7-0 in sets. This will be their first meeting on hard—those three meetings all came on clay.
