Caroline Garcia will be coached by Juan Pablo Guzman next season, according to L'Equipe.

The 29-year-old from France used Guzman as a coach during her title run at the WTA Finals in Fort Worth, Texas.

The move came as Bertrand Perret, Garcia's coach for most of the season, announced he was quitting a few days before the event and cited problems with the team atmosphere.

After battling an ankle injury, Garcia returned to the WTA Finals for the first time since 2017.

Garcia had worked with Guzman, an Argentine, for a few months in 2021. Prior to 2021, she had been coached by her father for her entire career. Guzman will only travel with Garcia to some events next season.

She is coming off one of the most successful seasons of her career, having reached No. 4 in the rankings, won three other titles and got to the semifinals of the US Open.

Garcia is next scheduled to play the recently announced Dubai exhibition.
