Kim Clijsters has defeated Caroline Wozniacki 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 to win the season-end championships in Doha.
Clijsters led by a set and 4-1 before fending off Wozniacki's resurgence to win her third championships title. The Belgian also won the event in 2002 and 2003.
"It seemed like it would never end. It was a tough battle. We showed some great tennis," said Clijsters.
Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta cemented their new No. 1 doubles team ranking by defeating Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik 7-5, 6-4.
