Kim Clijsters has given her form on grass herself a very positive review after defeating Lucie Safarova 6-0, 6-1 to reach the Eastbourne quarterfinals.

"It's a good sign, a good feeling," said Clijsters, who was more cautious after a similarly-lopsided 6-1, 6-1 in over Yanina Wickmayer in the first round.

"I focused on the shots from yesterday where I didn't feel quite in balance, took smaller steps between the serve and the next shot. I took my time."

Apart from a mixed doubles exhibition to test the roof at Wimbledon last year, Clijsters had not played a grasscourt event since 2006.
