Coaching updates: Pouille, Mauresmo split, Krajinovic & Tipsarevic too

Lucas Pouille and Filip Krajinovic have announced coaching changes.

On Saturday, Pouille posted on social media—written in his native language—that he's no longer being coached by compatriot and two-time Grand Slam champion Amelie Mauresmo. The Frenchman said the two were stopping following "two years of a good collaboration," and he would keep benefiting from her "valuable lessons."

The two began working together in the off-season before the start of 2019, with Pouille reaching the Australian Open semifinals during their first few tournaments. Currently ranked No. 69, the 26-year-old had elbow surgery in July and planned to return this month, but has now announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus. He is isolating for seven days.

On Sunday, Krajinovic announced that he has ended his coaching collaboration with fellow Serb and former world No. 8 Janko Tipsarevic, which began just before this season.

Krajinovic, who fell to Novak Djokovic in the first round of Vienna on Tuesday, described his partnership  with Tipsarevic—who retired from the sport at the end of the 2019 season—as a "great experience," starting at No. 41 and currently standing at No. 30 in the rankings.

Neither player has announced his new coach.
