Borna Coric has begun working with coach Zeljko Krajan. The 17-year-old Croatian, who defeated a surgery-bound Rafael Nadal in Basel, recently reached the Top 100.
"I am happy to announce as of immediately I will be working with Zeljko," Coric said in a statement.
"He has a world of experience on the tour and I'm very much looking forward to spending time and learning from him. Really believe we can be a great team and hopefully achieve together big things."
Krajan, who has developed a reputation for being a demanding instructor, previously coached Dinara Safina, Dominika Cibulkova, and Laura Robson on the women's tour, along with Marcos Baghdatis in the men’s game. Coric was previously with British coach Ryan Jones, but said in Basel that while he had learned a lot, he now wanted someone else who could push him and take him further.
"I'm really excited to be part of Coric's team and I hope together we can bring out his best tennis," said Krajan. "He is without doubt one of the biggest stars of the future and I can't wait to get started."
