BASEL, Switzerland(AP) Defending champion Novak Djokovic advanced to the Swiss Indoors final Saturday by defeating Serbian Davis Cup teammate Viktor Troicki 7-6 (4), 6-4.
The second-seeded Djokovic saved three set points when trailing 6-5, 40-0 on Troicki's serve in the first set. He then converted his first set point in the tiebreaker.
He broke again in the seventh game of the second set before closing out victory.
Djokovic will play either Roger Federer or Andy Roddick. The top-seeded Swiss and fourth-seeded American were facing each other for the first time since their classic 2009 Wimbledon final.
Djokovic and the 32nd-ranked Troicki will team up for Serbia when it hosts the Davis Cup final against France on Dec. 3-5.
