WATCH: Novak Djokovic is currently on a nine-match winning streak this fall.

Coach Goran Ivanisevic says Novak Djokovic's recent form would allow him to stay at the top of the men's game and aim for more records.

The 35-year-old Djokovic recently won Tel-Aviv and Astana, and along with his win at Wimbledon, has now won three tournaments in a row—not counting the Laver Cup team event. Ivanisevic thinks that Djokovic can keep up this level of play.

"He played brilliantly, especially in Astana. It's like he didn't take a break at all, and he hasn't been in tournaments since Wimbledon," Ivasenivic told Croatia's Jutarnji newspaper. "He was always physically fit and that was never a problem, and if he stays like that, I am convinced that he could stay at the top or near the top for another three years and fight for all the titles."

This recent run follows a slow start to this season. The Serb did not win a title until his fifth event, the Rome Masters, and has been limited in the events he can play because he is not vaccinated against coronavirus.

He currently has 21 Grand Slams, one behind Rafael Nadal's record of 22, and holds the record for most weeks at the No.1 ranking, among many statistical accolades.

"Everything related to some kind of record is interesting to Novak," Ivanisevic said. "The question remains how much he will play and how long it will last, but at the moment he is in now, I am sure he could go for or reach those records as well."

Though not currently in the Top 8 in the standings for the ATP Finals, Djokovic has secured the Grand Slam wildcard into the event because he is ranked in the Top 20 and won the title at Wimbledon, though he did not get any ranking points for the victory.

But he could now reduce his schedule for the rest of the season, with Ivanisevic saying that Djokovic “will play in Turin, but the question remains whether he will go to Paris before that,” referring to the Paris Masters which is played before the ATP Finals.

The No. 7 is also scheduled to play Davis Cup.
