Novak Djokovic says Juan Martin del Potro has a chance to challenge the Big 4 this year, but must be consistent in order to so. The Argentine upset world No. 3 Andy Murray and world No. 1 Djokovic in succession at Indian Wells last week before falling to then-world No. 5 Rafael Nadal in the final.
“He can be [a Top 4 player], but I don't think anybody can really predict what's going to happen,” Djokovic told reporters. “If he has the quality to do that? Yes, he does. He has the potential. He's an all-round player who can play equally well on any surface and he has proven that last few years. Now it really depends if he can sustain this level and physically be fit enough to play on that high level throughout the whole year, because that's what it takes to, you know, to be in top four.”
