Alicia Molik and Jelena Dokic will meet in the Australian Open wildcard semifinals. The 29-year-old Molik scored a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over Alison Bai, while the 27-year-old Dokic bested Tammi Patterson 7-5, 2-6, 6-3. Both are former Australian Open quarterfinalists.

"You go through so many different emotions along your career, a lot of hurdles, but we've both been able to overcome a lot," said Molik. “Dokic is as desperate and as eager as I am, so I think it will be a really interesting match.” Sophie Ferguson and Olivia Rogowska will meet in the other women's semifinal.

Top men's seed Peter Luczak made the final four with a 6-3, 7-6 (5) victory over James Lemke and will next play Matt Ebden, who bested Sam Groth. The winner will meet either Marinko Matosevic or Adam Feeney in the final.—Matthew Cronin
