PARIS (AP)—Marion Bartoli reached the quarterfinals at the French Open after Gisela Dulko retired because of a leg injury while trailing 7-5, 1-0 Sunday.
Dulko received treatment on her left leg during the first set, and then continued playing with a bandage.
The 11th-seeded Bartoli broke Dulko to take the first set, and then held in the first game of the second before the Argentine quit.
Dulko, who beat eighth-seeded Sam Stosur in the previous round, is now 0-9 in matches following a victory over a top-10 player.
