Former Top 10 player Andrea Petkovic wins her first match since April, defeating Timea Babos in New Haven, 6-3, 5-7, 7-5. Petkovic has been suffering from a severe ankle injury.
“I was really emotional, I have to say, sometimes positively, sometimes negatively,” she told the New Haven Register. “All in all, it was thrilling and exciting…These young girls are going to kill me in the future, so I have to be careful.”
