Missy Elliott all but broke the music-centric Internet on Thursday, releasing a new track featuring hit-magnet Pharrell Williams. The song is called "WTF," as in "Where They From" (get your head out of the gutter, eh?). And the beat, as they say, is sufficiently sick.

Now perhaps prompted by this same-day list of the allegedly worst athlete-driven songs of all time, your Spin keeper quickly turned to Serena Williams' own star turn on the mic. "Wait a minute now!"

Says here Serena's flow isn't terrible on her fleeting, insta-vintage 2012 track. By now we all know that she's not one to do anything she might potentially be bad at (karaoke aside), and it's an amusing if brief lyric. She packs a lot into a minute-plus. References to sister Venus Williams, Gucci specs, tuition, frozen pizza, subpoenas, and batting practice are downright winsome, and her delivery is fairly tight, or as tight as she cares to make it for a one-off.

At the end of the day, Missy and Serena probably agree on this rapped point: "I'm so far 'head of y'all/ Man, I'm on top of the stars/ I don't care none of ya are/ Blah blah blah blah/ You besta go re-write your blogs."

Commence mic drop.
