Fan in Acapulco: Nick Kyrgios swore at me, told me to shut up

Nick Kyrgios got into an exchange with spectators during his first-round victory in Acapulco on Tuesday, apparently swearing at a group of Dudi Sela fans and also arguing with Sela following the match.

According to Fairfax Media, the incident occurred with four spectators who were sitting not far from the 21-year-old Australian and cheering for his opponent.

"It wasn't like we were talking during] the points or when Kyrgios was serving,” [one of the spectators told *Fairfax Media*. “It was only cheering in between the points. We were maybe three meters away from him. If we whispered, he could hear us."

The fan said Kyrgios swore and told them to shut up after dropping the first set.

"At first we were a little bit scared because he's a big dude," said the 19-year-old fan, who described himself as a longtime attendee of the tournament.

According to Fairfax, Kyrgios also mockingly waved at the fans following his win, and when Sela objected to his behavior they got into an argument. An official had to intervene.

In October, Kyrgios was suspended for giving a lack of effort in a match in Shanghai.
