Not since Wimbledon has men's tennis seen Roger Federer in a professional tennis match, and yet here he is landing in another final.
This time, though, it's GQ magazine's Most Stylish Man title that's at stake. Squaring off against actor and former Taylor Swift paramour Tom Hiddleston, Federer looks to prove that he looks, well, more dapper. Asks GQ, "Will it be Roger Federer, the elegant tennis ace with a passionate fan base, or Tom Hiddleston, the Thor actor who wears a suit better than, well, almost anyone in Hollywood." The world is waiting. (But right now, I'm just wondering why the mag didn't end that question with, well, a question mark.)
Of note, these two didn't get here without a fan vote-induced fight. Federer saw off the likes of Jared Leto, Ryan Gosling, Zayn Malik, Steven Yeun and two-time defending Most Stylish Man champ Kanye West to reach the finale. To his credit, Hiddleston bested a range of well-tailored chaps including Ed Ramirez, Justin Theroux, Tom Hardy, David Beckham and Jeff Goldblum.
The winner will be announced on Tuesday, December 20. You'll have to watch with bated breath, tennis/Fed fans, to see if our guy brings home this particular plume for his fashionable cap.
