WIMBLEDON, England (AP) Roger Federer advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon by beating 2002 runner-up David Nalbandian 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 Saturday.
Federer is bidding to equal the record of seven Wimbledon titles, held by Pete Sampras and Willie Renshaw.
The 16-time Grand Slam champion won the title at the All England Club from 2003-07 and in '09, but lost in the quarterfinals last year.
Nalbandian reached the final the year before Federer started his run of five straight titles, losing to Lleyton Hewitt.
