After sucessfully playing through a broken finger at Fed Cup and Stuttgart, Justine Henin is no longer worried about the injury affecting her performances.
Henin broke the little finger on her left hand while practicing for Fed Cup, but was not unduly hampered on the court because she hits a one-handed backhand.
"Life is amazing, when I broke my finger ten days ago and I heard it was a fracture I didn't know if I would even be able to come here," Henin said after winning in Stuttgart. "I have to keep playing with the splint for a few more weeks yet, so it was good practice."
After taking her first title of her comeback last week, the Belgian isn't in any hurry to have the bandages taken off. "Maybe my broken finger brought me luck," she joked.
