It appears that Mardy Fish will withdraw from Wimbledon.
The former world No. 7, who has been contending with heart and related anxiety issues for more than a year, has told the staff at the BB&T Atlanta Open that the U.S. Open Series event will be his first ATP-level tournament back since Indian Wells, which was held in March.
The BB&T Atlanta Open will be played at Atlantic Station, July 20-28. Fish has only played one tournament since the 2012 U.S. Open and recently pulled out of Queen's Club due to what he said was a virus.
