Even though he was forced to retire against Juan Monaco in the Paris/Bercy Masters 1000 with a pulled left hamstring, Mardy Fish says he will definitely play the ATP World Tour Finals in a week and half, regardless of how fit he is. Fish qualified for the elite eight for the first time on Thursday. Fish suffered the same injury two weeks ago in Basel.
"It's just a pull. That's what the MRI said last week," Fish told reporters. "I will get another one tomorrow here just to make sure. We'll cover all our bases. So the next two weeks are arguably the most important of my whole career… I'll certainly play in London. There's no doubt about that, even if it's torn I'm still going to play and still try to play."
