Roger Federer is No. 5 on Forbes' list of The World Highest-Paid Athletes, and was the top sportsman in terms of endorsement earnings in the annual ranking.

During 2014, Federer was paid $67 million, while No. 1-ranked Floyd Mayweather earned $300 million. Fellow boxer Manny Pacquiao earned $160 million and the No. 2 spot. Soccer players Cristiano Ronaldo earned $79.6 million and was at No. 3, while No. 4 Lionel Messi earned $73.9 million.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion took $58 million in endorsements and $9 million in winnings for the 2014 season. The second highest total for endorsement money was Tiger Woods, with $50 million; he came in at No. 9 with a total pay of $50.6 million.

Novak Djokovic is now the second-highest ranked tennis player at No. 13 on the list, having earned $48.2 million overall, with $17.2 in winnings and $31 million through endorsements.

Rafael Nadal, who was previously the second-highest tennis player, is now ranked No. 22, having earned $32.5 million overall, with $4.5 in winnings and $28 million through endorsements.

Maria Sharapova is the highest female tennis player in the Top 100, ranked No. 29 with $29.7 million ($6.7 in winnings, $23 million in endorsements). Serena Williams is ranked No. 47, with $24.6 million overall ($11.6 million in winnings, $13 million in endorsements). Andy Murray is the only other tennis player in the Top 100, with the Scot earning $22.6 overall ($6.3 million in winnings, $16 million through endorsements).
