Dustin Brown has won his first match playing under the German flag, defeating Matthew Ebden 7-6 (4), 6-7 (5), 6-4 at the Eckental challenger. Brown, who previously played for Jamaica, clashed with the Jamiacan federation over funding and famously traveled the European challenger circuit using a camper van.

Born in Germany to a German mother and Jamaican father, the colorful 25-year-old has also explored the possibility of playing for Britain, based on an English grandmother on his father's side. He cracked the Top 100 for the first time this summer.
