Tennis upstart Frances Tiafoe just won his first professional tennis tournament, and he's now launching straightaway into a pro career, per a Washington Post article published earlier this week. He's notably the first tennis player to sign with Roc Nation, Jay-Z's own management company. What's more, from the WaPo article, Tiafoe has been dogged for some time by his own name, misspelled by official tennis sources and journalists:

One of Syed’s first moves as Tiafoe’s agent was to correct the spelling of his first name. Media, tournaments and official tennis Web sites have spelled his given name “Francis” for years. Apparently his name was misspelled on an entry form early in his career and no one bothered to correct the mistake.

Quickly asserting his highly public profile, the 17-year-old star-in-the-making participated in the tennis-centric portion of this past weekend's Easter Egg Roll with President Barack Obama at the White House, an event that also featured Caroline Wozniacki.

Tiafoe tweeted Monday about his career news, signing off with the hashtag #hardworkpaysoff:

Remember the name, all ye bloggers and media types. And do be sure to spell it correctly from here on out.
