Friends, we have officially seen it all in pro tennis.
Late in their third-round doubles match against Jonathan Marray and Adil Shamasdin, Marcel Granollers and Pablo Cuevas staged a sit-in at their chairs on court. Cuevas reportedly threatened to relieve himself in a tennis-ball canister if he wasn't allowed to take a bathroom break. Chair umpire Aurelie Tourte had refused his request, inciting the pair's anger. Two different code violations were assessed to the tandem during the ongoing spat, one over a ball being slammed out of the court.
