Ryan Harrison and Lauren Davis win the USTA Australian Open Wildcard Playoffs, with Harrison overcoming fellow 18-year-old Jack Sock 7-6(3), 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-4 and the 17-year-old Davis crushing last year's champ, CoCo Vandeweghe 6-2, 6-2.

Harrison was somewhat expected to defend his title, but Davis' victory was considered a bit of an upset as the 18-year-old Vandeweghe had upset Wimbledon and US Open finalist Vera Zvonareva last summer and played for the U.S. in the Fed Cup final. But the diminutive Davis has been on fire lately, winning two ITF circuit events and junior titles at the Orange Bowl and the Eddie Herr.

Vandeweghe will try and qualify for the Australian Open anyway.
