World No. 2 Iga Swiatek avoided Doha's upset bug on Wednesday, surviving a stern test from rival Linda Noskova, 6-7 (1), 6-4, 6-4 at the Qatar TotalEnergies Open.

The result comes amid a rash of Center Court upsets and less than 24 hours after world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka lost her first match since the Australian Open to Ekaterina Alexandrova in a third-set tiebreaker.

Swiatek, the defending Doha champion, is the highest seed left in the draw, followed by No. 5 seed and 2024 finalist Elena Rybakina.

We will update this story with Steve Tignor's thoughts on the result shortly.
