BNP Paribas Open owner Larry Ellison has bought the 249-acre golf course estate of Edra Blixseth for $42.9 million in Porcupine Creek, which is located about 20 minutes away from Masters Series tournament in Indian Wells, CA, which he purchased last year.

The Desert Sun reports that estate hit the market early last year for $75 million. It features an 18,430-square-foot Mediterranean-style main house with hand-painted ceiling murals, an amphitheater and a resort-style pool. It also has eight two-bedroom guesthouses, a gym, spa, and an outdoor party grotto as well as an 18-hole golf course.—Matthew Cronin
