NEW YORK (AP) John Isner beat fellow American Robby Ginepri in straight sets Friday to reach the third round at the U.S. Open for the third straight year.
The 28th-seeded Isner won 6-4, 6-3, 6-4, clinching the match with his 20th ace. Isner didn't have any double-faults and had 45 winners.
Ginepri, a 2005 U.S. Open semifinalist, is ranked 363rd after missing nine months because of left elbow surgery.
