Ana Ivanovic has ended her coaching relationship with Antonio van Grichen. The two began to work together during the off-season, but apparently didn't mesh.

Ivanovic announced the separation after defeating Nudnida Luangnam 6-0, 6-2 in the first round of Pattaya City. Van Grichen, who also coached Victoria Azarenka and Vera Zvonareva, was still trying to get a handle on which changes she needed to make to her game. He believed that Ivanovic had lost too much weight and needed to put more muscle back on.
