Former tennis star Andrea Jaeger is auctioning off her Colorado-based "Miracle Ranch" for $1 million less than its original price. Jaeger is now listing the 45,000-square-foot ranch on 38 acres for just $1 million, with 100% of the proceeds set to benefit her Little Stars Foundation The foundation funds programs for children stricken by disease, poverty and disaster. Jaeger told USA Today that the recession has forced her hand.
"I told our supporters that I was willing to do whatever it takes to keep [the foundation] going, even it if meant getting my racquet out and trying to get a wild card at Wimbledon," she said. "But I think that time has passed. With the sale of the ranch, we will be able to continue helping kids for many years to come. When people realize what this property is worth and that they'll be getting way more than the value of the property — knowing what extraordinary things we can do with that money — how could they not love this place?"
