Former No. 1 Jelena Jankovic, who has not won a major, says that the media is too tough on current No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, who has also not won a Grand Slam. The two will face off in the fourth round of the Australian Open on Saturday where the Dane’s No. 1 spot is on the line. "I think you kind of give her a little hard time sometimes," Jankovic said. I think sometimes you just should let it go. She's pretty young. I think she's gonna win those big tournaments in the future sooner or later."
Jankovic is 4-3 against Wozniacki but has lost their last three meetings. "The last year or so, I wasn't playing so great," said No. 13 Jankovic. "I really had quite a few injuries. Wasn't really confident with my game. So that also played a huge part in my tennis overall. Not just against Wozniacki throughout the whole year against different players. But now I'm feeling pretty good, and I have been training really hard and I feel motivated again. It's gonna be a tough one and I'm gonna go out there and, and hit my shots, do what I do best. Really give it a go."
