NEW YORK (AP)—Jimmy Connors has a memoir coming, with a few overhead smashes promised.
HarperCollins announced Sunday it has signed up the brash tennis superstar for a book coming in June 2012, when Connors turns 60.
The currently untitled memoir will cover everything from his 1970s romance with Chris Evert to his fierce competition with John McEnroe.
The book’s publication also will coincide with the 30th anniversary of his last Wimbledon victory, when he defeated McEnroe in the final.
Connors won eight Grand Slam singles titles as a player in the 1970s and `80s.
