Serbian teenager Bojana Jovanovski experiences a transportation nightmare on the way to the tournament in Carlsbad (San Diego County), California. Her travel agent booked her ticket to Carlsbad, but it was the wrong one.

After reaching the quarterfinals at the tournament in Maryland, she hopped on a plane Sunday at Dulles (Washington D.C.) to Dallas, then transferred to Albuquerque and then ended up Carlsbad, New Mexico, at around 9:30 PM. She went outside of the airport, and called tournament transportation .

"They said they'd be there in 15 minutes," she said. "So when they didn’t come. I called them back and they said we are here looking for you. I said what do you mean, I’m the only person [outside]? Who else do you see?"

Eventually, the transportation coordinator figured out that Jovanovski was in the wrong state and she went back into the airport to get the next flight back to Albuquerque, which didn’t leave until 5:30 AM, and then caught another to San Diego. She said she stayed up all night, then arrived just before her match against Roberta Vinci in the mid-afternoon and somehow managed to take the Italian to three sets in a loss. "I was so tried, but played pretty good," said Jovanovski, who is not in the doubles draw. "I'll just stay here and practice."

Jovanovski,, who try and qualify for Toronto, later posted on facebook: "[If] I can't be famous for winning the tournament...I can get some media for this...hahaha."
