OEIRAS, Portugal (AP) Kaia Kanepi of Estonia won the Estoril Open after saving two match points and rallying past Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 3-6, 7-6 (6), 6-4 Saturday.
The sixth-seeded Kanepi saved the match points on her way to winning the second-set tiebreaker. She recovered from 3-1 down on the outdoor clay court to claim her second title of the season.
I've won a few matches from match points down, but I've never won a final like this,'' Kanepi said.
I'll remember this final in a good way for a long time.''
Second-seeded Richard Gasquet of France also rallied past Albert Ramos 2-6, 7-6 (1), 7-5 in the first men's semifinal.
The Frenchman looked finished when he slammed his racket into the ground after losing a point at the start of the second set. But Ramos dropped his next service game with three straight errors to give Gasquet some hope.
Gasquet didn't waste the chance and drew even at one set each before finishing off Ramos.
On Sunday, Gasquet will face the winner of the other semifinal between top-seeded Juan del Potro and Stanislas Wawrinka. It's Gasquet's first final since July 2010.
