METZ, France(AP) Second-seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber reached the Open de Moselle final with a 7-6 (5), 6-4 win Saturday over Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu.
Kohlschreiber reached his first final on the ATP tour since finishing runner-up to Roger Federer last year in Halle.
The 23rd-ranked German saved five break points and broke his opponent once, preventing the third-seeded Mathieu from reaching his second straight Metz final.
The 25-year-old Kohlschreiber will face the winner of the all-French semifinal between top-seeded Gael Monfils and Richard Gasquet.
