Petra Kvitova says she has had problems dealing with the expectations that accompanied her Wimbledon title in 2011.
The 24-year-old Czech, who has reached another final at Wimbledon this year, said it has contributed to her uneven results since she became a Grand Slam champion.
''I think these three years was really up and down during the season. I knew that a lot of people are expecting from me something more than I did probably,'' she said.
But despite her unpredictable performances, Kvitova kept winning occasional tournaments and stayed a presence at the top of the game.
''But on the other side, I was still in the Top 10 and I did everything what I could I was practicing very hard and everything. But it's never easy with the girls obviously,'' she said.
''Yeah, was a lot of positive things I got, but definitely when I won here 2011 I needed to change a little bit myself on the court and off the court, as well, to used to the pressure, media, and everything like that.''
She will now attempt to put her experience to use against Eugenie Bouchard, who will be appearing in her first Grand Slam final.
