Tiny Lithuania came back from 2-1 down to beat Britain 3-2 in Davis Cup Euro-African zonal play.
Lithuanian teen sensation Ricardas Berankis jarred James Ward 7-6 (4), 6-3, 6-4 in the fourth singles rubber, and then No. 521 Laurynas Grigelis, an 18-year-old who has never played a match on the ATP tour, upended Dan Evans 6-7(6) 7-5, 6-0, 2-6, 6-4.
John Lloyd became the first British captain to oversee five successive defeats and has admitted that his job may be in jeopardy. Britain must now beat Turkey (which lost to Ireland) in a relegation match in July to avoid dropping to Europe/Africa Zone Group III - the lowest tier of Davis Cup.
