Luczak defeats Beck at BCR Open Romania

BUCHAREST, Romania(AP) Peter Luczak of Australia beat Karol Beck of Slovakia 7-5, 7-6 (6) Monday in the first round of the BCR Open Romania.

Beck was up 5-1 in the second set before the 70th-ranked Australian rallied to win four straight games. The two-set match took 2 1/2 hours.

Marcel Granollers of Spain defeated Petru-Alexandru Luncanu of Romania 6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-1.
