This week, Marcus Willis won the ITF $10,000 Kuwait Futures event, his first title win since his Cinderella story second-round showing at Wimbledon.

It was just Willis' second event since Wimbledon (he earned wildcard in Vienna).

The part-time teaching pro from Great Britain did not drop a set while winning both the singles and doubles titles. He won $1,310 in prize money and could move up more than 40 spots from his current position of No. 503 in the rankings.

Willis was ranked No. 772 before coming through the qualifying rounds of Wimbledon to reach the second round, where he fell to Roger Federer.

He recently married his fiancé, Jenny Bate, who he credits with convincing him to stay on the pro tour. The couple are expecting their first child.
