NEW YORK -- Max Mirnyi won his fourth Grand Slam mixed doubles title Friday, teaming with Andrea Hlavackova for a 7-6 (5), 6-3 victory over Santiago Gonzalez and Abigail Spears at the U.S. Open.

The 36-year-old Mirnyi also has six major titles in men's doubles. This 2013 championship comes 15 years after he teamed with Serena Williams to win his first two mixed-doubles majors, at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.

This is the first major mixed title for Hlavackova, who also won the 2011 French Open in women's doubles.

The winners get $75,000 each.
