LONDON—Police arrested four men suspected of brandishing a weapon at Andy Murray, but then realized they were merely autograph hunters who were holding tennis racquets.
The incident happened in north London on Wednesday while Murray was in a car with his agent. Two men apparently got out of another car and knocked on the window of Murray’s car to try and get him to sign a racquet, but he drove away. Then a member of the public called the police because they thought one of the men was carrying a gun. The car was eventually stopped and four men were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and taken into custody, but the police later said they didn’t find a firearm.
