At Indian Wells, Andy Murray responded to criticism that he didn’t have the right attitude in his early round loss to Janko Tipsarevic in Dubai, where he admitted to tinkering with his game.
“I can’t apologize,” he said. “I played a two-hour and 45-minute match and maybe the most entertaining one of tournament.
"I was disappointed to lose and broke a racket after the match in first time in years. I wanted to win. At same time I was being honest that I was trying some different things in match and I think players do that a lot but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to win. I didn’t mean to upset and offend anyone and sorry if I did.”
