After leading Great Britain back to the Davis Cup World Group for the first time since 2008 with a 4-1 victory over host Croatia, Andy Murray says he is committed to playing the competition in 2014. Murray has won 16 consecutive singles rubbers for Britain, but has only played five ties since 2008.

"If I'm fit and healthy, I will be there to play," Murray told BBC Sport. "A couple of years ago that wasn't the case when I sat down with [captain] Leon Smith. I wanted the younger guys to step up and experience it. There was no use us being in the World Group because we weren't ready for it.  But now I think we are ready to do well. We have a top doubles team [Colin Fleming and Jonathan Marray]. Dan [Evans] and James [Ward] will continue to improve and we've got the makings of a very solid team."
