Defending champion Andy Murray has won Toronto, defeating Roger Federer 7-5, 7-5 in rain-interrupted match.
After leading by a set and a break, Murray was broken when the two returned after a third rain break but edged out a closely fought end to win in straight sets.
Closing a match out against Roger is difficult," said Murray, "but with the rain delays and stuff, you have a bit of time to think about it. So it was really tough, but managed to come through in the end."
Murray, who also won the title in Montreal last year, becomes the sixth player to defeat Rafael Nadal and Federer in the same tournament
