MONTREAL(AP) Andy Murray has ended Nikolay Davydenko's 12-match winning streak with a 6-2, 6-4 victory in the quarterfinals of the Rogers Cup.
Davydenko, seeded eighth, came into the tournament following wins in Germany and Croatia. The third-seeded Murray, who has yet to drop a set in the tournament, made the semis for the third time in four years.
It is Murray's third trip to the Rogers Cup semifinals. Last year in Toronto, he lost to eventual champion Rafael Nadal. He was also in the semis in 2006.
Murray will face either top-seeded Roger Federer or No. 7 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. In Friday's evening matches, No. 4 Novak Djokovic faces No. 5 Andy Roddick and No. 2 Nadal plays No. 6 Juan Martin Del Potro.
