Andy Murray is questionable for the grass-court tournament at Queen's Club next week due to back trouble.
"I'll do what's best for my preparation for Wimbledon, back or no," Murray said after his four-set loss to David Ferrer at Roland Garros. "I need to get some good physical work done. That's going to be important. So, when I can get that done, whether it's over the next five, six days before I play at Queen's, or the four or five days I would have after Queen's before the tournament obviously at Wimbledon, it's not a disaster if I can't play a tournament beforehand. Novak [Djokovic] didn't play before Australia this year; I don't believe he played before Wimbledon last year. Many times Roger [Federer] has not played an event before. It happens all the time. You just need to make sure you're comfortable on the courts and the surface you're playing on before you start the tournament."
Murray added that while he has a lot of improvement to make on clay, he still thinks he may win the French Open someday.
"You never know. Stranger things have happened," he said. "I think I would have had a good match with someone like [2004 Roland Garros champion Gaston] Gaudio on the clay. And someone like Magnus Norman [who reached he 2001 final], it is possible to win the event. But you have to play your best tennis to do that; tonight I didn't."
