After each team’s ninth match in Mylan World TeamTennis, three things have become clear: 1) the Orange County Breakers (7-2) and San Diego Aviators (7-2) are the frontrunners to reach the WTT Finals, which will be held at the West Side Tennis Club in Forest Hills, N.Y. just before the U.S. Open; 2) the Philadelphia Freedoms (5-4) and Washington Kastles (4-5)—the five-time defending champions—can crash the party; 3) the New York Empire (2-7) and Springfield Lasers (2-7) are reduced to spoilers.
